Press Release

Kirsi Mikkola invented her character GLO and its cosmos in the 90s. Since then, in the wake of neoliberal gender regimes, the disadvantage of women has become further established rather than balanced. GLO is both, a feminist artistic statement and a mascot, suitable for the formation of a fan base. In GLO-W Kirsi Mikkola presents new paintings, original GLO drawings from the early 90s and the iconic GLO sculptures.
